Introduction

He received the B.S. degree in computer science and engineering, followed by the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering and computer science, from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1999, 2001, and 2007, respectively. From 2008 to 2010, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IL, USA. In 2011, he joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Hanyang University, where he is currently a tenured professor. His research interests lie primarily in systems, including operating systems, mobile systems, distributed systems, and real-time embedded systems. His recent research interest is in the interdisciplinary area of cyber-physical systems.
